Georgina Pioneer
Village
Experience the sights and sounds of life on the south shores of Lake
Simcoe at this late 19th century historic village. Interpreters and
demonstrators welcome visitors with special exhibitions and events,

youth and adult programs also available.

McMicheal Canadian Art Collection
Nestled in 100 acres of
stunning woodland, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection displays a
renowned collection by Group of Seven and their contemporaries, as well

the authentic Canadian experience.

The
Simcoe County Museum
A short distance northwest of Barrie is the Simcoe County Museum. A
virtual time capsule of ten thousand years of local history, the museum
has changing exhibits and interesting programs. Enter a replica of a
Huron longhouse, see the charm of a Victorian village street or pop
into a boot shop. Special events occur regularly.

The
South Simcoe Steam Train: Ride Ontario’s Steam Train!
You'll travel in restored
1920's open-window coaches over the rails of a century-old branchline
that once connected Hamilton with Barrie and Collingwood. Enjoy the
sights and sounds of the steam train as you travel through the rolling
countryside. The return trip from Tottenham to Beeton takes just under
an hour and is highlighted by the Conductor's friendly and informative
commentary.
Excursions depart from the South Simcoe Railway station in downtown
Tottenham, 20 km west of Highway 400 on Highway 9, just 50 minutes north
of Toronto.
